• No peppering, passing, setting, hitting, or ball play in hallways, cafeterias, lobbies, or any areas outside the gym.

• Balls may only be used inside designated gym/court areas.

• No climbing on or playing around bleachers, stands, tables, or other venue equipment. These areas and equipment can present a serious safety hazard.

• Please respect all venue property and follow any additional rules posted by the facility.

• No food or drinks are permitted inside the gym.

• Water only is permitted in spill-proof water bottles.

• Spills on the court create a safety hazard for athletes and officials and can cause delays to games.

• Food and other beverages must be consumed only in designated areas of the facility.

MYVB has zero tolerance for aggressive, abusive, threatening, or unsportsmanlike behaviour toward referees, coaches, players, tournament staff, or spectators.

• Referees must be treated with respect at all times

• Aggressive arguing, yelling, intimidation, threats, or abusive language directed at an official will not be tolerated.

• Referees have the authority to issue warnings and sanctions/cards when appropriate for misconduct involving players and coaches.

• Spectators displaying aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may be asked to leave the gym or venue.

• Tournament staff may intervene when behaviour is disruptive or compromises the safety or enjoyment of participants.

• Parents and spectators are expected to support their teams in a positive and respectful manner.

• Cheering is encouraged. Harassing officials, opposing players, coaches, tournament staff, or other spectators is not.

• Anyone whose behaviour becomes disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe may be asked to leave the venue.

Coaches and team representatives are responsible for ensuring that their players, parents, and spectators understand and follow MYVB venue and conduct rules.

Teams are also expected to:

• Keep their bench and surrounding areas clean.

• Dispose of garbage in the appropriate containers.

• Respect restricted areas within the facility.

• Follow instructions from MYVB staff, referees, and venue personnel.

• To help us keep everyone safe and ensure information is shared accurately, all official tournament communication will be sent only to the registered team contacts and coaches listed in our registration system.

• We kindly ask that parents or guardians who need to receive updates be added as approved contacts within the team’s official registration details. This helps us verify information and maintain secure, reliable communication for all teams.

• For privacy and security reasons, we’re unable to respond to or confirm tournament information requests from individuals who are not listed as official team contacts.

• Failure to follow MYVB or facility rules may result in a warning, removal from the gym or venue, or other appropriate action depending on the circumstances.

• These rules are in place to protect our athletes, officials, spectators, facilities, and tournament schedule.

• Please respect our venues, officials, staff, athletes, coaches, and fellow spectators.
